Episode #7 A Vision For America: Where There Is No Vision, The People Perish

Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the Lord answered me: Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run with it. When it is written down and then implemented, those we lead can ‘run’ with it and we will see it succeed. A clear process begins to develop as it is made plain.

God highlighted this scripture to me and then He said, “Who is writing my vision for America?”

So, I told him that I would write it if He would just tell me what to say. So, today I would like to cast the vision for the United States of America.

Imagine with me for a moment. Imagine a United States of America where the streets are clean & free of litter. There aren’t homeless under the freeways, just beautifully landscaped flowerbeds lining smoothly paved roads.

Children ride their bikes through their neighborhoods waving at neighbors as they ride by. Our large inner cities are safe, even in the middle of the night. There are no ghettos.

Church parking lots are packed and are being led by true Shepherds…Shepherds that love God and love God’s children.

A liberal neighbor eats dinner in the home of a conservative neighbor where they respectfully talk through their differing point of views.

American flags hang off the porch of most homes & the sight of those flags causes a wave of gratitude to wash over us because they remind us that we live in the greatest land on earth, the land of the free and the brave. Pride in our country fills our eyes with tears, as we contemplate all that God has done in our beloved nation.

Moms and dads go for walks in the evenings because they enjoy each others company. Our divorce rate has plummeted because couples have a renewed commitment to stay together and make the best life they can with one another.

Dads are the protectors and providers God has called them to be, & moms care for their homes and families in such a way that their children know they’re safe, secure, and treasured.

Artists make music and movies that make us feel alive & inspired. Pornography has ceased to exist because the demand for it simply dried up.

Our borders are closed and secured and the atrocities that happened there are now a distant memory.

We get excited for election day and are happy to stand in the long lines that ensue when election day is only one day.  Our elections are safe and secure with paper ballots and transparency that lets us know our vote actually matters.

Schools are safe places where children are nurtured and mentored by teachers who got into this line of work because they care deeply about the well-being of children.

Boys play on boys teams and girls play on girls teams and there’s no talk of it being any other way.

Old men gather at the local café every morning where they sip their coffee & marvel at the beautiful world their grandchildren will grow up in. Grandmothers teach their granddaughters how to bake fresh peach pie using the peaches from their own backyard.

20 year olds hustle down the street full of excitement for the bright future they sense awaits them.

They’re dreaming big dreams and are working to make them come true.

The American food supply is no longer genetically modified. Our farmers grow the healthiest food in the world, and our bodies are healthy because of it. Cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and mental illnesses have been eradicated as a result.

Young men stop to help elderly women get across the street. Young women are dressed modestly, having self respect, but are NOT self-absorbed.

Social media is dead, simply because we all concluded it was better that way.

Our economy is bustling and everyone’s excited because it’s almost fall, and the leaves will be turning soon. The air will be crisp and we’ll begin planning our Thanksgiving meals which will be shared with friends and family whom we value more than life itself.

The grandmothers and the mothers cry as grandpa says the Thanksgiving prayer because their hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for all that God has done for their families. And because they remember a day in America when things were different. A day when self absorption was the norm, crime and hate filled the streets, and our food supply was making us sick. They remember the not-so-great days of old, So they know precisely just how much they have to be grateful for.

That’s the America I want.

That vision sounds lovely but unrealistic, doesn’t it? It feels like our country is soooo far from that, that there’s no hope of it ever being that good. Do you feel like you’d LOVE for that vision to become a reality, but that you’re powerless to make it happen? It feels like the people in leadership are too corrupt. We’re too captured.  People’s hearts are too selfish. It’s too late & there’s nothing we can do about it.

That’s how I’ve felt.

I remember one time I sat under a Bible teacher, who was so passionate about the word of God, and how it had transformed her life. I remember, telling the Lord, “whatever it is that she knows about you, I want to know that!” I was inspired by what I saw on her. So I pursued finding it. And you know what, I did. I have that same passion that I saw in her all those years ago. Because one person’s passion inspired me, I am a different person.

It’s so easy for us to underestimate our power. And that’s precisely what our enemy would want. He wants us to be frozen in a feeling of powerlessness so that we do not become all that God wants us to be.

We don’t have to worry about how this vision for America is going to come about. All we have to do, is live this vision out in our own lives.

What we do in our own personal lives makes a difference in our community. Just like I was inspired by that Bible teacher and my life was transformed because of it, we can be the inspiration that those around us are craving. As we live out this vision in our daily lives, others will be drawn to do the same.

So my hope is to inspire you. I want to inspire you to reconnect with God, your family, and your community. I want to inspire you connect with good old fashion all-American values.

As I inspire you, and then you inspire one other, and then they inspire one other, we will change the fabric of our society. I’ve already been praying for spiritual revival because I am very aware that divine intervention and a spiritual awakening is a big part of what we need.

But, we must not downplay our part.

So I would like to ask you to do 2 things today to save our Republic.

First, find one part of this vision that’s not currently a reality in your life and take one step towards making it a reality.

Second, I ask that you forward this video onto someone else who wants to see the United States return to the All American godly values it was established on.

1. Take one step towards this vision.

2. Forward this video to at least one person.

It will be your first step towards saving The Republic.

After all, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
